Yucca Valley High School is pleased to introduce a new communications tool called Anonymous Alerts®.


What is the Anonymous Alerts app?

The Anonymous Alerts anti-bullying and safety app reporting system helps combat bullying and other negative activity in schools by empowering students to speak up. Social and peer pressure are some of the hardest obstacles for students to overcome.


The system allows for 1-way or 2-way anonymous encrypted communications between submitters (students, parents or community members) and district administration and/or school staff. Users of the system have the option to remain anonymous or to reveal their identity when submitting a report.


How does it work?

To use this revolutionary new app, students, parents or other school personnel can simply visit the Yucca Valley High School website and click on the “Anonymous Alerts” button or text link to submit a report expressing their concern. Anonymous Alerts® mobile applications can be downloaded directly from the Apple, Google Play or the Chrome stores.


Yucca Valley High School supplies students a simple username and password activation code, making the app remarkably easy to use and students select which school and contact the message should go to.  In addition, informational posters explaining how to use the app will be displayed throughout schools and offices in the district.


To send reports from the Web/Internet go to: https://www.anonymousalerts.com/yuccavalleyhs/


To send a report from your phone:

  • Download the Anonymous Alerts® app for free from the Apple Store, Google Play store, or the Chrome store
  • Start the App, enter login: yuccavalleyhs and password: yuccavalleyhs
  • Send important reports to school officials
  • Add a screenshot, photo or video about the incident

Dual Enrollment applications are due TODAY! Even if they are incomplete! If you want to be considered for the program, the Counseling Office must have your application TODAY! In Addition, you must register with CMC TODAY!!!

Sophomores, Cal Grant applications, available January 1, are now open to Juniors. So take advantage of this opportunity and apply early.

Seniors, Fair Warning! Don’t get caught short on graduation credits! Prepare yourself for finals by writing copious notes and taking advantage of all the study strategies your teachers are presenting you. Senior check out is June 2 and if you do not have all 220 credits, you will not graduate. Work – works! Do your homework and stay away from any possible distraction at this time as your time is coming soon to walk across that graduation stage on June 8.

Freshman, Sophomores and Juniors: Summer School applications are available in the Counseling Office for those that need to recover credits required for graduation. If you have a D or an F, please sign up to see your counselor right away for a credit recovery plan.

Attention Seniors! Only 1 day left to purchase your Grad Nite tickets! That’s right, today is the last day. All seniors MUST have a signed permission slip and their student ID in order to purchase a ticket.

Come join us for a yearbook distribution party today from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm in the MPR. Admission is only $1! If you attend, you are able to get your yearbook early. Regular distribution will not be until Tuesday, May 30. You MUST have your ID to pick up your yearbook!

Students registered for Mr. Brown’s AP English Literature and Composition course for next school year, there is a MANDATORY meeting in L-10 today at 2:00 pm sharp.  You will receive a list of summer reading materials along with a general outline of the course requirements.

All Track athletes please stop by G-8 and pick up a flyer for the Track Awards Ceremony. The date is Tuesday, May 30, at 6:00 pm in the MPR.

Any student interested in joining the National Honor Society, all application forms must be turned in by 2:00 pm today. No exceptions! Students must have a cumulative 3.6 GPA, no discipline issues, and a desire to help our community.

Theater 29 -- Summer Youth Theater



The 2017 Theatre 29 Summer Youth Program will run Monday Through Friday from June 26 through July 30, 2017, (4th of July off) culminating with six performances of “Disney’s Little Mermaid Jr.” 


The program will break into two age groups of 30 students each with “Juniors” (7-11 years old) meeting from 10:00 am – 12 noon. The “Seniors” (age 12-17) will meet from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. The cost for the Program is $60.00 per student. 


Applications are available at www.theatre29.org, the Twentynine Palms Park and Recreation offices, the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Z107.7 studios in Joshua Tree and must be submitted to the address on the application by June 12, 2017.
